entry terms and conditions

Last updated: 28/10/2026

These terms apply to entry purchases for The Endless Yard events. The organiser is Endless Events Ltd, trading as The Endless Yard, at 31 Highfield Road, Chertsey. Email: hello@theendlessyard.com.

1. Entry and booking

Entry is made using Eventrac. Your booking is confirmed when payment is accepted and you receive confirmation. The total payable amount, including any mandatory booking charges, will be shown before purchase. You must provide accurate participant and emergency contact details and keep these reasonably up to date.

2. Eligibility

The minimum age is 18 on race day. Entrants must meet any event eligibility requirements published at the time of booking. Places are personal and must not be used by a substitute runner except through an approved transfer.

3. Your preparation

Backyard ultras are demanding events which may continue for more than one day. Entrants should train and prepare appropriately, bring required equipment and nutrition, and consider their own fitness and circumstances. Please share any relevant accessibility or support needs privately with the organiser so reasonable arrangements can be discussed. We do not ask participants to disclose more health information than is necessary.

4. Race rules and safety

By entering, you agree to follow the Official Race Rules, reasonable race official instructions, the mandatory kit list and the Participant Safety and Anti-Harassment Policy. The organisers may withdraw a participant for an immediate safety concern or a serious rule breach. Any decision will be made fairly and proportionately.

5. Withdrawals, transfers and pregnancy arrangements

Our Entry, Refunds, Transfers and Cancellation Policy explains voluntary withdrawal and transfer options. The Pregnancy and Postpartum Policy provides additional protections and takes precedence where it is more favourable to the participant. Optional booking protection, if offered, is separate and governed by its provider's terms.

6. Event changes and cancellation

The organiser may need to change the course, schedule or facilities for legitimate safety or operational reasons. Where an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, your legal rights remain unaffected. The Entry, Refunds, Transfers and Cancellation Policy explains the process for notifying entrants and making suitable arrangements.

7. Behaviour and welfare

We expect respectful behaviour from runners, crew and spectators. Discrimination, harassment, abuse or threats are not acceptable. Reports will be addressed under our Participant Safety and Anti-Harassment Policy.

8. Personal data and images

Event and registration data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy. Photography and filming arrangements are explained in our Photography and Filming Policy.

9. Liability and legal rights

Outdoor endurance events involve inherent risks, such as uneven terrain, fatigue, weather exposure and injury. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Contact and complaints

For booking questions, accessibility needs or complaints, email hello@theendlessyard.com. We will acknowledge and investigate concerns within a reasonable period.
